Located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, White Crow Creations is  home to the art work of artist Paula K. Tonemah (Cherokee/Creek). From traditional to modern beadwork, leatherwork and jewelry, you will be pleased with the craftmanship of each design. Each design is an original and unique. Special orders are always welcome.

Artist and Author

Paula was raised in a family filled with artists, being the youngest she was in a position to learn from her elders and her siblings. Paula is proud to carry on the traditional beadwork and leather work passed down to her. At age 8 she began doing loomwork and leather work. Over the years Paula has been fortunate enough to learn traditional art from many other artists and elders of various tribes. Each sharing with her the wonderful variety of designs and techniques used.

Although Paula began "dabbling" in oils at an early age, she did not begin studying oil painting until the '90's. Since then Paula has developed her own signature style."I try and incorporate something spiritual in all my paintings and our history in my beadwork. "Spirituality is in everthing around us and our history is how we learn. I believe these elements are who we are as a race of people.                               

In June 2007 Paula was pleased to release her first book Spirit Horse - An Adventure In Crazy Horse Country. She is currently working on her second book that will be released through Four Directions Publishing in May of 2008. Paula's books may be purchased in the Online store.
